Introduction to Risk Management

This e-learning module goes over the base principles of risk management with a particular focus on regulator structures, though it is applicable to other areas. Specific focus is given to evaluating risk and dealing with it through standards and through regulation. This course also underlines that risk is not inherently negative.

The course aims to provide insights and recommendations for policymakers and other stakeholders on designing regulatory systems that result in efficient, effective and transparent management of risks. After completing this course, participants will be able to:

• Assess risk management practices and frameworks
• Identify types of risk and methods to mitigate risk
• Argue the benefits of risk-based regulatory systems
